Deepavali's Crisis... Damn, should've thought of it... (Friday 20/10/06)

After work, i've decided to go cy's place lepak. I've invited Andrik and probably Jeffrey's coming too, but he'll meet us at Taman Desa around night time.

I've made nice plans of the day, since i quitted part time job at Low Yat, still their borrowed dvds with me, it's been long time i never took initiative to return it cuz i'm always caught up by unsettled matters. So it's best to return it today while on my way i could reach cy's house without hassle. Cy told me earlier that Liliane invited us to KL Hilton for a small gathering with her colleagues, and of course, our intention focused on leng luis... Heh, we're men, aren't we?

When i took bath and dressed up, the weather turned me down badly...

It rained heavily and i begun lazy of going elsewhere. I cancelled my plans to go out, even cy's place. I just couldn't care much, took the PS2 controller and start back my God Hand game, that already passed twice of finishing the game...

Then cy called me, and reminded me that i'm the one who made the call of the lepak at his house... My bad, and no matter how rainy outside, i must be there...

So i took LRT and reached Pasar Seni to take bus. Gosh, no bus came all the half an hour time. It's 10pm, and everyone stood, some held food and drinks started sucking and licking while waiting for the bus. I bought a roll of cheap cookies with me, i would do the same, chewing the junk food all the way from my place to sort out my boredom.

I called cy and asked him to fetch me. Due to Andrik's route from his workplace, it's not convenient enough to fetch me. So our debates went on until he found himself obliged to fetch me.

"What to do? No bus ma..."

I guessed he might have waited Andrik so they could go together and fetch me at University Putra LRT station...

Somehow, Federal Highway wasn't that jam, i looked from far inside the LRT. I supposed most of the Malays or Indians went back to their hometown earlier than expected, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Not for long i've waited, they came and we went for a short drink. Jeffrey came and he was with his friends meeting up in a pub at Taman Desa, so we went back to cy's house first, and see if he's coming to join us.

It's been a very long time since i met Jeffrey. He's chubby now, started to have belly, like a rich boss who hitted big margins recently... I'm glad to see him in good shape.

After all the lepak, cy's works a story teller and the whole night couldn't be possible to let a free time to test out God Hand for them to experience...

Sigh, what to do, his stories were interesting but day goes by, you'll find that he had to settle down his stories while listening could be tiring and boredom. It's not to say not respecting him as a friend, in contrary we could've more activities for the night.

Massive traffic JAMs on highways... (Thursday 19/10/06)

I went out meeting clients with my cousin this afternoon, and our last stop was at Subang SS15. We used the NPE expressway linking Sunway till Kuchai Lama's exit to KL-Seremban highway.

It's common to see Sunway and Federal Highway were crowded with traffics. That's why we used the NPE and hopefully we reached home in time for dinner.

Once we reached the exit of Kuchai Lama, something strange about the highway. Oh my GOD...

Jam like never happened in my life ever! My cousin was freaked out and he changed his direction to Taman Desa. On his way, he called his friends to see if they can group up to have some drinks there.

Somehow, it's best to wait till the traffic went smooth.

After some drinks, we headed back the same route again.

OH... MY... GOD...
......

Much worst than previous, we're stucked and most of the drivers were impatience, kept cutting lines, some from left tilt to right then back to left again, some stopped at open space to rest... We heard on Hitz.fm and the traffic report stated that Jalan Tun Razak jam, from Pandan Indah till Taman Melawati, 17km stretch of traffics stucked on the road. Jalan Kuching and some other highways were the same, everywhere! That's terrified!

We got no choice but to head back home. Until we reached the exit to Jalan Istana, we used the Dewan Pustaka route to use Jalan Loke Yew... Jam... And we changed back to Chan Sow Lin route, all the way we travel till MRR highway taking Salak Selatan route to reach there.

And thank God, we made it. It's not even jam along Chan Sow Lin. We've spent more than an hour struggling on the road...

My girl went to make new temporary eyelashes... Hmmm... (Wednesday 18/10/06)

Once, my girl went to a fair working. She's promoting her company's wine and met some other company's staffs. Includes beauty and hair, health products, food and drinks, etc. I don't know much details of the fair, but all she was excited was the beauty and hair. The lady was keen at her, maybe because my girl likes to chat a lot, in fact, lots of people who met her would like her.

There was a time she told me that she decided to try out the eyelashes thing. I mean, so suddenly she wanted to groom herself. I was nothing for her decision, as long as she's happy.

She called me after did her eyelashes in the evening, while i'm still on turf servicing client. She said she's coming to show me her newly done eyelashes which already made her a different person. Ok, we'll see what's so interesting of it.

She came around 7pm, and i've waited her just a while after coming back from turf. I was surprised that her eyebrows was thinned and her eyelashes... My my, i wonder how the beauty saloon did it.

she became a woman in an instant! i mean, the make ups really helps... though... i don't know, i never tried... hmm...
Each of the fake eyelashes were glued at the eyelids, and she felt sticky for the moment. She told me the eyelashes could last 3 months. Hmmm, the glued thingy really sound durable, but what if happens that you're sleeping, and it won't be disturb? Or if the eyes got itchy, wouldn't it'll be disturb if it's not been realised?

Haha, i guess girls really wanna groom themselves much that really troublesome to watch out those thingy along. I don't feel funny of the eyelashes, she really looked great, only matters when it was looked at close distance, it's a shivering sense... Brrr!

Why not? Every stick of hair was glued, and it's artificial, and it's quite fake, k? It's too long. Maybe they should shorten it a bit. Also, the thingy glued halfway for the side, not the whole eyelid. Well, i can imagine if it's done on the whole eyelid...

Everyone knew i would say some artist's name which had these flashy thingy on the eyes...

But let's not discriminate someone's interests... It's feminine's way of being attractive, just let them be, guys...

Fixed my table lamp... (Tuesday 17/10/06)

I already mentioned that i bought a table lamp. As far as i concern, the table lamp couldn't be lifted high enough. From it's shrinking look, it's already very low height to bright up, and it's stitching my eyes badly.

I was ran out of idea to modify it's height. I thought of screwing out one leg so it can be height adjustable. It wouldn't work much though. As i was in dilemma of this issue, i found out there's one solution but i'm too stupid of not thinking of it.

Once, i was with my cousin running Kajang turf. We were at this last stop and planned to have a social visit at a client's place, which was the last stop we'll make.

We really spent the whole evening talking business with the boss. I noticed his table lamp was lights on during the conversation. Since the whole conversation was not my league, i looked at the table lamp carefully.

Oddly, it can be adjusted in certain height, the first joint of the legs were straight up till the second leads to the viewing target. Then i located the possibility of modification...

Once i got home, i inspected my table lamp and found out the base and the joints were flipped opposite. Hmmm...

Without hesitation, i took out the screws and flipped the whole joint the other way round, and...

Viola! (with Orchestra String's at background playing.)

Finally... YES!
Yes! It worked! I can adjust the height instead of the previous that only could go front and back, which makes me the fool who bought such distorting table lamp.

Since then, i never thought i bought the wrong one. It's just a minor technical mistakes from the factory...

How rude are the clients? (Monday 16/10/06)

For the first month, i never engaged with rude clients. It seems like i'm having good things come along considered a bless for my attempts. Yet, there's more clients i've never met them. Somehow my cousin brother just had to send me off to the turf as it was already in second month for now.

Precisely, he told me i'll be grabbing sales opportunities out there, and i'm going alone. His time was fully occupied of the projects he received. As a matter of fact, i'm pity of him that he's way too much work to handle. He can't even settle down on the calls and work. Mostly, he'll be at the computer researching quotas.

Okay, think it shouldn't be a problem for my attempts. I'll be always telling myself, if i ever failed of pushing sales, i'll try again, and again, and again. Hardly i put much feelings on failures. If THAT... wouldn't work, perhaps later a special treatment of experience might sting my current encouragement.

Once, i was on Puchong's turf. It seems i've missed out some timing to meet a client there. He was out for lunch, and i went to the other one after lunch break, and after i've done, i went back, the client went off to somewhere... There goes my luck. And, i encouraged myself. That's fine for then.

Throughout the whole turf, i left the last one on the list. So i went. This director of the company was so young, and he's way on hook with some urgent orders. I was standing there almost 15 minutes and he never bother to seat me. Of course, i'm just someone he doesn't know or care. I'm fine though. Later on, he saw me and reminded himself to greet me. That's rude. In fact, i'm still in good mood, so i forgave him.

Then he asked me to show him some of my new items. So each by each i introduced to him, he seems never bother asking price until two things came and he did, i replied, but he had no feedback at all, just got busy handling calls and talked to his staffs. Soon, he said,

"Well, i think that's about it, i'll see if i had anything in mind, i'll let you know."

My God, i was just about to show him the item magazine...

You know, he just utter a few words, which makes a whole sentences for the whole conversation with me. That's... That's... Fucking rude...

Heh, you might think i'm just useless at this situation. Some people might react such ways if they're rich, lots of suppliers' contacts, and perhaps they just ought to have such attitude. I don't think i'm the only one who encounter such situation.

Well, fuck it. Once my cousin brother told me, "Just be careful, because this guy's teeth was made in gold."

Actually, i thought it's not a metaphor.

My mistake, i didn't really take precaution earlier. It did twist my mood real bad. I went inside the car and drove away further from the shop, and curse him from heaven to hell.

My bad, my bad...

My cousin brother didn't even bother of keeping him anymore, so did his wife. Also, my cousin had been through the same as mine.

---

Another trip to visit a client. It was at Kajang and the shop was quite in business of Raya celebration. Most of the Malays came to this client's shop and bought new ceiling fans, some nice socket buttons, etc. My cousin was helpful to them at that time, while i was wondering who's the person in charge to take order.

Later on, the lady boss came in, and soon we got started our business. So then, my cousin handled the returned goods to them, already replaced new ones. For some, he isolated those were not his, carefully showing company codes were printed on each items. While the client returned as much of the items, my cousin isolated most out of his, and the lady boss went mad.

My cousin kept telling them, of course in the nice way, to prove that some weren't his. But the lady boss went debating, said the goods were marked on his company's initials and still my cousin won't accept her prediction. So then, the lady boss got even mad and said something rude,

"Ok la ok la, then the orders taken just now, cancel everything! We don't need your services!"

I mean, what the hell? Can't they just understand what's the situation right now? They even accused my cousin that he maybe borrowed some items from other suppliers to cover his orders. And yet, he never did. Anyway, my cousin never changed his looks of her, still with nice mood to talk to her.

I felt uneasy to meet such rude fuckers. They've been rich for now and all they could say such things that overpowered their status. Come on, don't make me curse them.

We left and i told my cousin that we shouldn't come anymore, it's been a scar after she bursted in anger. He was quite relieved after getting to know their attitude. Furthermore, i'm not sure if he's gonna ask me to go there again, maybe i'll get zero sales from them.

For now, it's only these unpleasant incident happened to me so far. I'm cool, it's common to meet such people out there. All i've to do is try harder, maybe someday, the clients maybe much friendly and support me in the future.
