A day out with my girl and my pal... (Sunday 10/12/06)

The Darkness has come... to bring demolitions in life...
Last night i spent my time with my girl until 8.30pm, she had to fetch her brother to bus station, going back to Terengganu for studies. Since it's convenient to reach cy's house on her way, also i had nothing to do at home, i decided to go to his place hang out.

With the GUN on its hands, it moans slightly to announce for battle...
Cy's busy at his favorite "Evangelion" model toys. He was assembling it and cursing much of the "China Made" model, which gave him so many difficulties. He kept complaining until i had nothing to say about, i just browsed some books and magazines until he's done with the model.

It moans harder and louder, telling out the world is coming to the end...
Once he's done, we headed out to 7-Eleven and bought some snacks. Then we tried to continue back "51st State" but the DVD went spoiled for no reason. What a pity, it's been twice we watched until halfway, we dozed off. So then, we watched "Munich" starred Eric Bana, directed by Steven Spielberg.

It spreaded it's wings wide and prepared to fly over the sky...
It's a good movie told about the past's war against the terrorist and the life of an architect of murder. Eric Bana played a good cast of a Palestinian, but his not well spoken in that language accent, anyway the show gave an entertaining progress. I could say my girl would've been confusing herself while watching this movie, somehow it's my task to make her understand.

GUNDAM-M: Wait a minute, chump... where do you think you're going? EVANGELION: Huh?
After this movie, we watched an anime, which i don't remember its name. It's not a robot, war type anime but sentimental and touching. Cy said it was an award winning anime. I'm impressed by the animation, but i'm too tired to stay on... Zzz...

GUNDAM-B: Not to worry, GUNDAM-M... if anything happens, i'll be your assistant... GUNDAM-B: Thanks, pal... EVANGELION: Huh? (repeatedly)
The next day, we woke up around 12 noon. I was planning to go back, but cy suggested we should go for a movie, inviting my girl along. My girl only could come at 1.30pm after, so i suggested to try out "God Hand" with cy. So far he's not fanatic of "beat'em up" game, also he's struggling to press the buttons as fast as he could (until it beats up our fingers) to beat up the enemies.

GUNDAM-B: I think this place's gonna crash down, take your cover, GUNDAM-M! GUNDAM-M: Roger! EVANGELION: ...for now, i'll show you my powers... Prepare to DIE!!!
Yes, it's not as easy as you think, there are so many skills to adapt on the joypad, within the levels, you could upgrade your power and skills. When that comes around, i once confusingly used up most of the fast skills and it's pretty surviving for the whole game. Indeed, choosing powerful punches and kicks would help much during "God Hand" was unleashed at critical situation.

GUNDAM-B: Arrrggghhh!!!! GUNDAM-M: GUNDAM-B!!!! EVANGELION: Full power!!! YAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH......!!!!!!
However, the game doesn't have a cheat or gameshark codes. I don't really need those as i've been finishing the game few times already.

(just made up) DUO-GUN!......
My girl came late at 2pm. Speaking of watching a movie, i supposed later we wouldn't get a chance to watch as the schedule was out of timing.

(just made up) ULTIMATE BLAZING SLASH!!! WHOOOOSHHHHH......!!!!!!
We went IOI Mall. By the day's priority, we found out the movie's showing at 7pm later. It crashed our dinner time and ended up we never watch any of it.

Then went to anime's shop to check out some nice and cheap Gundam models. The prices weren't that satisfied, after a while of browsing, we went to another shop, which selling real stuffs but much more expensive. We had the temptation of it, but we wanted great deals, cheap and better China Made models. So far we never did find anything there. (was IOI Mall sucks?)

my girl was so happy that she can't stop playing with the hairbands... yeah, more than a hundred of selections...
As we walked around the shops, i saw a place called Hot Market where me and girl usually went and played around with the things sold there. Cy said the place owned by our friend. Of all the things happening in my world, i never knew such thing. And so we had quite a fun time playing with the hairbands, some stuffs we never seen. We picked some few items and went to A&W for some root beers.

Can you see me with a hairband on my head.......????
We went to Jaya Jusco to browse some more models. Nothing much, we saw a few high quality toys which we think those were not as high quality as 10 years ago's toys. Even for Transformers, they released Subaru Impreza's model Transformers in different color versions. It sucked to the max, i could say it's against the plots of the cartoon. What do you think? While Superman has a robotic arm, super big cape or wearing boxers instead of a red underwear? No shit.

How about THIS close then...???
Even Lego's rival came, another version, another name, and the quality's quite similar to Lego, still it's not as good as Lego. Also, children's playground packed with adults and children. I found Gundam's a boring model as they're so much of them in different versions and sizes. I got my eyes and mind blurred while browsing so many toys here and still felt undecided to buy one.

I can be Obi-wan Kenobi even without leaving my hair long at one side... but i've BOTH!!! which means... I'm dObi-wan Kentucky...
Soon, we became more tempting to watch a movie. For my case, i could cancel my dinner with my family but my girl failed to get approval from her parents. She was very unhappy at first, but i advised her to save up for the year end, so she had to chance to go then.

Hi, are you looking for a real ANGEL in life form? No, i'm not saying that i am... duh...
We headed back to cy's house. My girl left and we went to Pudu Plaza to check out the models some more. I thought there might be more models selection, in fact there weren't any. As we walked throughout the complex, we found a jewelry shop selling Gundam models. As we browsed, we found out that this shop sold cheaper and both of us bought each. I bought Destiny Gundam for RM10, unbelievable cheap. Then again, we planned and decided to watch a movie at Times Square since my girl gave me a cut-out movie ticket promotion, buy one free one voucher.

just RM10.00 and you could get THIS! Aren't it cheap? actually i haven't tried to assemble it.... let's just say i leave it until i'm REALLY had the free time...
I assured cy that this is a good show and it's worth to watch even it shows at 11.45pm. I got no problem watching that late, my place just nearby and i could get enough sleep by the end of the day. So does cy. And it was decided.

We bought the tickets, and went back to my place. Of course, cy won't missed out my DVD collections. He hardly came to my place and lepak. Yeah, his place much, much better than mine, but privacy, we both had it all, totally. Only my medias are not as loaded as his.

Cy was tempted of my Gundam and wondered if my model worked as a display. From his experience and advices, it's a good thing we have China Made models locally. From his encounters, he found out the cheaper ones doesn't give much on posing the parts, it's likely limited in one pose, depends on how am i gonna do about it.

He had done his Evangelion, somehow he bought it for RM25 and it could bend here and posing, realistically poses. I doubt mine could do that much, as i've checked the joints and parts. Nothing much to envy the expensive ones, cuz i knew i just started for this thing. It's been a long time when i did assemble a few Gundams that i found all gone when i leave my parent's house 10 years ago.

Precisely, it's not my upmost hobby. For now i'm more fanatic in animes and comics, music and portraits.

I brought an MP3 music cd of Need For Speed and Fast & Furious OSTs for cy. He never listened that, i intend to put it on and i saw it was broken by 2 pieces. My bad, i put at my pants' left side pocket and it broke while i was sitting or crouching, i guess. Well, wasted one, burn another. Luckily i never did delete all the music files from my company's pc.

We watched Tom Yum Goong while waiting for the movie time. Cy haven't watched it, for the sake of the time we had left, i roughly showed him the fighting scenes.

As you know, Tony Jaa's movies mostly all about fighting and what interests me was, the fighting scenes are pretty real in hitting and kicking, from head to toe. Cy went sympathy at the stunt men. Of course, they were professionals, much much better than Jacky Chan's crew. If you're having a good observation for the movie, you should know how are the fighting scenes were shot. Somehow, cy's not really into fighting movies.

As the time came, we hurried to Times Square for the movie. Cy suggested we should buy our snacks at 7-Eleven and bring it into the cinema... Hehe, i knew it's impossible for anyone who could bring the food in unless there's a bag to carry in. He would just suggested me to keep quiet while he tries to negotiate with the staffs there.

As the seats were cleared for the next batch, we walked to the ticket verification counter and the staffs stopped us going in, pointing at our snacks and spoke about the rules. All the sudden, cy's emotions went unrealistic, like he's playing around, acting. Yeah, i know how he was, not like that. As he tried to make sure about their rules, they still insisted him to put the snacks in a safe place, like a plastic cupboard specially for the outside food. They kept sliding out the drawers and showing us the food which the viewers left.

I still kept myself quiet and kept watching how cy played them. I know it's bad, but you wouldn't know that they doubt their management sent some spies around to make sure they did their job. We aren't any of their staffs, i find it hilarious watching them got nervous of cy's attitude. I'm just afraid we might being thrown out or something... Maybe i think too much of those stupid ideas. In the end, cy was relieved and left the snacks with the staffs and went unsatisfied with their ill-considerate services.

By all means, we brought food into the cinema. It works like a bag of grocery, why the staffs bother to stop us bringing grocery in? How about i bought cabbage and wanted to bring it into cinema? Or some can drinks for the night after movie? Or some take away food for the night after a movie? Still, we can't get any tolerance from them.

Anywhere we go, when there's a restaurant, pub, cafe, karaoke, food stalls, any places to have food sold, you can't have outside food with you, some may exclude groceries, some strictly forbid. Yes, i'm sure these wouldn't give me any troubles except cinemas. Would people really enjoy watching movies at cinemas while there are so many censored scenes, late screening, high priced movie tickets and selling expensive food...

What makes a difference if we movie lovers would have different choices of food we pick rather cinema's? Only matters, they wanted to earn from their food sales. It worked the same 10 years ago, while Twisties' everyone's favorite, plus can drinks, peanuts, sweet and sour, crackers, cakes, muffins, McDonald's, KFC, A&W Root Beer, french fries, sweets, etc... Where all these been? Everyone's heading the new millenium with all new things going around, but the old classic way to go for a movie was no longer anymore, since GSC, TGV and the rest with their own food kiosk dominated the whole nation.

Before the movie starts, we've been watching advertisements for about half an hour. The seats wasn't filled that much, cuz this movie has been released few weeks ago. Soon, a group came trying to get along our way to their seats, but it was taken, just happenly next to me. So the group tried to ask the people next to mine to check their tickets. Therefore, the guy uttered the seat's number, and he would just determined that he could be right, while he uttered the which cinema he's supposed to... Ah! He got himself mistaken all the way... He left with his friends while the group took over. How silly it can be...

The whole movie was great. Andy Lau's a real good actor, he sure really brought up the plot. The story was fascinating too, just about a thing that triggered cy's attention was the love scenes... He felt it had to fill in so it pays the entertainment for the viewers.

It's already 2.30am. After sent me back home, i went to bed straight, thinking about this 31st December. Yeah, i'm going to Melaka, with a bunch of old school mates. There'll be a rave party down there and the chicks are gonna heat up the dance floor. Pace up, the excitement and thrill will be coming for all the clubbers...

======================================================
Finally, it completes the saga of my toys... not yet la...
I've completed the Gundam after 2 days purchased it. It's not so to say difficult to assemble, the joints are loosen a bit, and it can't go further on it's joints to pose better...
