Co Do, Vietnamese Dim Sum Restaurant in Mid Valley... (Tuesday 11/4/06)

the environment was... fuh... cun...Today's Awal Muharram's day, holiday for most of the office working people. Not much business for my Char Kuey Teow stall. My girl came to look for me after her new job training at Hartamas. it's my girl, ok?She's happy to know that the company's director was sort of nervous about her joining in his company this month, but my girl's not confirmed to put resignation on her current job.

We have no movies to watch, and there's nothing we could do at my place. So she suggested to go someplace with air-conditioned. So we planned to go Mid Valley for food pursue.

At first, i thought we could spend our time watching movies at cinema. Thinking about buying Bleach volume 2 at OUG (the DVD shop opens at evening), we went browsing and see which restaurant is the ideal for us to have our lunch, perhaps dinner... At 4pm... Hmm... Lunch or dinner? it's me... ok?So we found a place called Co Do, translated from Chinese called 'Old Town'. There are sets of menu for us to choose from. Then the waiter brought the samples of Dim Sum... First of all, i didn't know we're at the Dim Sum restaurant. The samples were quite odd, never seen them created such dishes. But hell with it, we ought to try it, we never know how it tastes like unless we do.

The interior was old fashioned, my favourite kind of environment. We ordered the value sets and waited for the food to be served. The Dim Sums were nice, especially the Glutinous Rice, i remembered last time i heard a friend, which i don't remember who, told me this spoonful of rice was expensive. How expensive? Example, it's decorated with various dishes, like shark fin, crab meat, vegetables, spices. It's quite a lot of selections can be made and also the price of a spoonful could be vary. This friend also told me if you selected the expensive selections, you could ended up eating a spoonful cost RM70+... That's only a spoonful, one take flew RM70... Ridiculous food right? And after i told my girl about this, she could hardly believe it costs so expensive, but our set wasn't that costly, just nice to taste good food.

the sugar cane stick can be eaten but my girl didn't like the spices taste on it....After the Dim Sums, the main course was fried noodle. Then comes desserts, 2 love shaped waffles and a scoop of Vanilla ice-cream. When the waitress served us, she forgotten to give us dessert spoons. We looked at the desserts, and thought of a while, how are we supposed to eat the ice-cream? I came out an idea, use the ice-cream as waffle's sauce... And it tasted even better than just honey, i mean together with honey and ice-cream for the waffles... Fucking yummy!

woah, the first time i taste quite expensive food served in a soup spoon...After the satisfying meal, we went to buy Bleach volume 2 DVD and went to my place to watch it...

my girl likes this fan... old fashioned fan made by G.E... Well then, if you do wanna know the restaurant's location, it's at the cinema's level, opposite Converse apparels... Try Set C....

Enjoy!
